Andrew Clack was born in Ouachita Parish, was raised in Richland Parish, and currently resides about fifteen miles north of Rayville, just east of the Morehouse/Richland line. He attended Rayville High School and then The University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he obtained a Bachelor of Pure and Applied Science, Majoring in Construction Management while Minoring in Business Administration. He graduated with a Major GPA of 3.89 and an Overall GPA of 3.84.
He was awarded the Outstanding Student in the College of Arts and Sciences and was recognized for achieving the Highest GPA in Construction Management. He was a three-time recipient of the Quoin Foundation Scholarship, a one-time recipient of the Rannie Terral Memorial Scholarship, the Tops Performance Award, the University of Louisiana at Monroe Outstanding Scholars Award, the Morgan F. Rich Bank Scholarship, amid a host of other awards. He was a member, Pledge Trainer, and then Vice President of Sigma Lambda Chi (The Construction Management Honor Society). He was a member, Treasurer, and then President of the Construction Guild for The University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, a student member of the National Home Builders Association, a student member of the Association of General Contractors, a member of Indian Spear-It, a volunteer member of the Holly Ridge Fire Department, and many more organizations and societies.
Andrew Clack is currently employed by a large, Mississippi-based Farm Chemical Retailer as the Precision Agriculture Support Representative for all their Louisiana locations. In case you are wondering: This means that if someone has a problem concerning Agriculture and Computers – He can help.
In the four years prior to this position, while he was attending college, Andrew Clack worked for a Monroe-based Construction Company. In case you were wondering: This means that if someone has a Wheelbarrow – He can push it.
Before, during, and after this period, Andrew Clack worked on the Family Farm, where he represented 25% of the work force (the other 75% being equally divided between his Mother Shelly, his Father Bendel, and his elder Brother Ben). Although his current occupation and his own small farming operation prevents him from helping as much as he would like, he is still able to lend a hand on the Family Farm from time to time.
Because the Farm was an entirely family-staffed operation (with the exception of the occasional visit by school-friends, who Bendel Clack viewed as “temporary workers”), the majority of Andrew’s childhood was trichotomously divided between the Farm, School, and Church. These were the “Big Three”. If one attempted to skip work, school, or church, it simply meant that you would have to participate in these activities after the whooping. Because of this love and diligent guidance from his parents, Andrew still loves working on the Farm, and he even attends the same Baptist Church where he was raised.
Andrew Clack is an avid Hunter and Fisherman who possesses a Lifetime Louisiana Hunting/Fishing License. He is also a “Card-Carrying” member of the NRA, and fancies himself as a Gun Collector/Sport Shooter, although his funding is very limited and his aim is somewhat dubious. He is also a skilled guitarist with a preference for Bluegrass picking, but he admits that he enjoys playing anything.
Although he cannot remember when he first began to love discussing politics and philosophy, he does recall watching and enjoying the Rush Limbaugh program on television when he was a child; he still enjoys Rush’s radio program today.
Although they are all opinionated Conservatives, to his knowledge, no member of Andrew’s family has ever run for, or held political office – which is a very good thing indeed (America has too many Kennedys and Clintons as it is).
Although Andrew Clack is a registered Republican (lifelong), he, his family, and his friends have all stopped donating money to the aforementioned Party. This is because the Republicans have recently decided to abandon the Principles of Conservatism; the Republicans have decided to put loyalty to the Party above the principles that coalesced them together in the first place.
Andrew Clack is running for Congress for the same reasons that he is abstaining from donating money – The Republican Party is moving toward the Left, and no one will stop it. A perfect example of this Philosophical Peripateticism is the endorsement of John Kennedy (A Lifelong Democrat and Radical Leftist who only became a Republican this year) by John McCain, President Bush, and, most importantly, Rodney Alexander. It does not matter what political Party an individual belongs to – it is their Political Philosophy that counts. Sadly, too few Republicans agree with this sentiment.
Andrew Clack believes that his role as Representative for District 5 will be to provide opposition to Democrats and Wayward Republicans while supporting legislation that reduces the size and scope of the Government. He supports Reducing Taxes, Eliminating Welfare Programs, Closing the Border, Supporting English as the Official Language, Allowing Companies to Drill Offshore and in ANWR, Preventing “Global Warming” Legislation, Allowing Oil Companies to Build Refineries, Opposing the Kyoto Protocol, the Construction of Nuclear Power Plants, Eliminating Gun Control Regulations, and Fighting Alongside the Few Remaining Conservatives in Congress in their Bid to Advance the Greatness of Our Nation. Conservatives need a voice – Andrew Clack will provide it.
